LUX MED Group acquired Centrum Medyczne MAVIT sp. z o.o., which is the owner of an ophthalmology hospital and an outpatient clinic in Warsaw as well as a specialist hospital in Katowice, offering medical services in the field of ophthalmology, maxillofacial surgery and laryngology. It is one of the largest transactions on the Polish healthcare market in recent years.
Medical Center MAVIT is a recognized and award-winning medical network, operating in the healthcare market for nearly 20 years. Its offer includes a wide range of ophthalmology services, from diagnostics to surgery in the field of cataract treatment, laser vision correction, glaucoma and AMD. The company employs over 100 doctors and nearly 200 supporting staff. Patients can take advantage of the services both commercially and under a contract with the National Health Fund.
In 2010, the Polish PE fund, Resource Partners, joined the Founders of Medical Center MAVIT as a majority partner, financing the expansion of the hospital in Katowice, and in the following years, developing the hospital and diagnostic centre in Warsaw and expanding the range of services provided.

The transaction awaits the decision of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK). LUX MED Group was advised by VCP Polska, Linklaters and PwC. The founders of Medical Center MAVIT and Resource Partners were advised by DC Advisory, Rykowski Jusiel Kancelaria Prawna and KPMG.
