• VCP acted as M&A advisor to LUX MED on the acquisition of Medical Center MAVIT, a Polish healthcare company offering medical services in the field of ophthalmology, maxillofacial surgery and laryngology
• Medical Center MAVIT operates an ophthalmology hospital and an outpatient clinic in Warsaw as well as a specialist hospital in Katowice
• Resource Partners joined the Founders of Medical Center MAVIT as majority shareholder back in 2010, provided financing the expansion of the hospital in Katowice, and in subsequent years, developed the hospital and outpatient clinic in Warsaw and expanded the range of services
• After its investment horizon, Resource Partners, together with the Founders, decided to exit the investment
• The sale was organised as auction process, yet at a certain point of time we were able to secure exclusivity for LUX MED and consummate transaction in the form of bilateral discussions
• VCP supported LUX MED in the entire transaction process through provision of market intelligence and research, deal tactics, coordination of advisory teams and other ad-hoc assignments
• The transaction was signed in expeditious manner in May 2019 (only two months from the official process kick off) and following the fulfillment of the agreed conditions precedents, it was closed in September 2019
